MUMBAI: Commemorating the third death anniversary of the King of Pop - Michael Jackson, Hard Rock Café and Radio One will host a special musical event ‘MJ Tribute Night’ on 21 June in Mumbai and Delhi.
The event in Mumbai will witness performances by group of prominent artistes belonging to different bands from Mumbai’s rock circuit, including Rohan Sequeira – vocals (Infra Red and Aquaflow), Shannon Pereira - lead guitars (Mansi Scott & Neha Bhasin), Agnelo Picardo- drums (Caralisa and Dischordian), Howard Pereira- guitars & backing vocals (Overhung, Dischordian & Caralisa), Crosby Fernandes-bass (Freedom, Paravayu) and Joel Crasto- keys (Sector 8, 5th Octave).
The group which calls itself ‘The Thrillers’ will perform on the pop legend’s classic chartbusters like ‘Billie Jean’, ‘Beat It’, ‘Smooth Criminal’, ‘Thriller’, ‘Bad’ and ‘Remember the time’ amongst others.
While progressive rock brand Nerverek will perform in the event in Delhi. The band formed by Arjun Dhanraj in August 2003 comprises of Arjun Dhanraj (vocals, guitar), Ishaan Krishna (bass, backing vocals), Ritesh John Dharmaraj (drums) and Ananth Kumar (keyboards, backing vocals).
