HP teams up with Universal music and Hungama for HP Connected Music

MUMBAI: All the HP users in India will soon be able to use a music embedded service ‘HP Connected Music’, which will be unveiled  in Delhi on 30 January. HP has teamed up with the Universal Music Group and Hungama.com for the same. It will give customers access to some of the world's most popular artist.

The launch will take place in presence of Hungama Digital Media Entertainment MD & CEO Neeraj Roy, Universal music managing director Devraj Sanyal, HP product category senior director Vinay Awasthi and HP chief marketing officer, Ranvijit Singh.

Speaking with Radioandmusic.com, Universal music managing director Devraj Sanyal said, “All of us are committed to track this and to find newer and newer technology and platforms to make music available to the consumer.”

He added, “We are launching this service which is first of its kind in India. We have been working on it for a year.”

HP's global PC share stood at 15.5 percent after shipping 13.55 million units which displays the huge audience this service will reach.

HP had teamed up with the Universal Music Group for a new partnership in EMEA territories as well. HP Connected Music service is included in its new Windows 8 consumer desktop and notebook PCs across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. HP Connected Music will be available to all of those with new HP Windows 8 desktop and notebook PCs and will provide them with streaming access to content from Universal's catalogue
