MUMBAI: Hemant Brijwasi of Mathura emerged as a winner of Zee TV's music reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il champs on Saturday evening. The show which started on June 5 with 12 participants, 6 boys and girls and was judged by music personalities - Alka Yagnik and Abhijeet Bhattacharya.

Hemant Brijwasi has made a comeback on the show through a wild Card round and ultimately was declared the winner of Hero Honda SaReGaMaPa L'il Champs. He got an awesome response of 15 lakhs, 35 thousand and 80 votes from the viewers followed by  first runner-up Yatharth with 13,73,040 votes and Shreyasi with 11,38,380 votes.

The event was hosted by playback singer Shaan at the Andheri Sports Complex Mumbai.

Apart from the acts by the three finalists, the evening saw some dazzling performances by the participants of Hero Honda Saregamapa Mega Challenge (the next series of Saregamapa which will succeed L'il Champs). Mentor Abhijeet Bhattacharya and Alka Yagnik also wooed the crowd along with the super talented kids of L'il Champs. The winner was awarded the medal by Ajay Devgan, Salman Khan and Asin who was present to promote their upcoming flick London dreams. Brijwasi was also presented with a Sony Bravia LCD TV.

On winning the coveted prize a very elated Hemant Brijwasi said, I am very happy to win the gold medal and to make my parents proud of me and I would like to thank them and also I want to thank Baake bihari lal who helped me to complete the journey."
