MUMBAI: Hathway Cable & Datacom has launched a music channel on its digital cable network.
The 24-hour pure music channel, Hathway Music, will showcase the Bollywood songs sans any music jockeys. The songs list will comprise golden classics of 50's-60's to the melodious hits of 80'-90's to the latest Bollywood hits of today.
The channel will be initially available in some areas of Mumbai, Pune, Nashik and later on other cities on Hathway Digital Cable Network.
Hathway Music is in addition to the already available movie channel CCC (Cine Channel) and interactive music channel i-TV on the digital cable network.
There will be no anchors hosting any shows or distracting viewers. The channel shall give the audience non stop super-hit film songs without any interruptions, thus giving a complete dose of entertainment.
Hathway Music will play back–to–back Hindi film songs packaged with appealing graphics... depicting the theme of Bollywood music with various other aspects of Hindi film music.
The channel will have different categories/themes such as Down Memory Lane, Music Stars, Smash Hits, Bollywood Beats, Jumping Jacks, Dancing Queens, and Romantic Melodies.
