* 4 city tour with Half Step down featuring guest performances by Split, Thermal and a Quarter and Parikrama

MUMBAI: Harley-Davidson India has announced the launch of the second season of its Harley Rock Riders, an annual music platform. The four-city tour will feature Half Step Down along with guest performances by SPLIT, Thermal and a Quarter, and veterans of Indian rock music Parikrama.

The second season of Harley Rock Riders will commence on 5th May 2011 in Mumbai followed by Bangalore, Hyderabad, culminating into a grand finale in New Delhi.

On the occasion of the launch of Harley Rock Riders Season II, Harley-Davidson India director – marketing Sanjay Tripathi said, Harley Rock Riders was launched last year with an aim to bring motorcycling and rock music culture closer in the country, by encouraging rock bands and providing them a unique platform to showcase their abundant talent. During our inaugural season, we received an overwhelming response from rock music aficionados and Harley enthusiasts from across the country....

The first season featured band Split, this year honours went to Delhi based rock band Half Step Down, Formed in 2005, Half Step Down began performing in 2006 primarily as a rock �n' roll band, incorporating elements of the blues, alt-rock, funk and reggae.

Talking about their association with Harley Rock Riders band Split said, Playing at Harley Rock Riders last year was one of the best things we've ever done. We had a blast at every single gig on the tour, particularly the grand finale in New Delhi which was incredible, with the big stage, the crowd, the bikes and the energy that was in the air. We are pleased to be a part of the rock music revolution that Harley-Davidson is bringing to India in association with Rolling Stone.
