MUMBAI: Guns N' Roses, the Beastie Boys and Red Hot Chili Peppers have been announced as the 2012 inductees of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Blues legend Freddie King was named as an �Early Influence, while the late producer and TV host Don Kirshner was rewarded with Ahmet Ertegun (nonperformer) Award. Producers like Cosimo Matassa, Tom Dowd and Glyn Johns received the award for Musical Excellence in Roll Hall of Fame.

Other acts honoured this year also includes 60s singer-songwriter Donovan, The Cure, Laura Nyro and the Faces. The ceremony will be held on 14 April at Cleveland's Public Hall and will be broadcasted on HBO.
