MUMBAI: Goa's finest guitar player Elvis Lobo from Saligao has been an ambassador of the music-loving state of Goa. He has performed all over the world with top live performer Sonu Nigam, and has performed, recorded and toured with innumerable international artistes who visit Goa every year, establishing himself as a global performer from Goa.

One of his tunes, Smoking Chutney, has been nominated for the BIG Indian Music Academy awards, the nationwide search for excellence in various genres of music. Smoking Chutney was recorded and produced by Colin D'Cruz in Goa in 2009 and features a hot guitar solo by Elvis, who is the only Goan musician nominated for this prestigious award.
