MUMBAI: Adding another feather in its crowded cap, 'Dabangg' has yet again sweeped maximum awards at the '2nd Chevrolet Global Indian Music Awards' (GIMA) held at Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon.

Dabangg bagged seven awards including �Best Music Director - Sajid-Wajid and Lalit Pandit', �Best Film Album', �Best Engineer Film - Eric Pillai' and �Best Music Debut - Mamta Sharma (Munni Badnaam Hui)'. The film also received nod for �Best Engineer Theatre Mix - Leslie Fernandes, �Best Background Score - Sandeep Shirodkar' and the �Red FM Most Popular Song on Radio - Tere Mast Mast'.

Ecstatic Arbaaz Khan said, It's been a fantastic journey and the music has played the most important contribution to the success of Dabangg. Sajid-Wajid has been fantastic along with Lalit Pandit and the rest of the team....

A total of 31 awards were presented under the film and non-film categories, wherein Agnee took home the title of �Best MTV Pop-Rock Single', while Ustad Rashid Khan won the �Best Devotional Album award.'

GIMA honoured three legends with special awards; legendary Indian composer Pyarelal for â€?Outstanding Contribution to Indian Music – Film', carnatic vocalist M Balamuralikrishna for â€?Outstanding Contribution to Indian Music – Classical' and  AR Rahman for The Global Musician Honour, for being a member of the internationally renowned band, Super Heavy alongside Mick Jagger.  Click here for the complete list of winners.

The awards hosted by Ranveer Singh and Neha Dhupia featured stellar performances by celebrated musicians and bollywood stars including Midival Punditz with Shubha Mudgal, Papon and Kailash Kher, Pyarelalji with Sunidhi Chauhan, Shaan, Sonu Nigam, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with the Shillong Choir, Priyanka Chopra and Shahrukh Khan.
