MUMBAI: The 52nd Fair One Filmfare Awards held last week recognizing excellence in Hindi cinema across various categories including music saw A R Rahman being felicitated with `Best Music award` for film `Rang De Basanti.`

The award for Best Lyrics went to ad man Prasoon Joshi for "Chand Sifarish" in Aamir-Kajol starrer "Fanaa" along with Shaan and Kailash Kher receiving the `Best Playback - Male award` for the same song.

Meanwhile in the female category, Sunidhi Chauhan bagged the `Best Playback - Female award` for the song Beedi from Omkara. This upbeat song won Ganesh Acharya the `Best Choreography award.` Salim Suleman walked home with the `The Best Background Score Award` for the film `Krrish`
