Talking about the preparations that goes into performing at the nine-day festival Pathak said, "We prepare three months prior to Navratri. There are times that we go to smaller cities just to get the feeling of the music played there. Then we come back, practice the songs that we choose, compile it and then play it."

It is the response of the audiences that encourages Pathak to perform continuously for nine days. "The moment I see my audience dancing, I get into the mood of singing and performing my heart out," she said.

When asked what is on her playlist this season, she replied, "Since its Navratri my playlist will obviously have Gujarati songs and then we have a fusion of Gujarati and English. I always try to take unusual songs that surprise my audiences."

Pathak, who is usually often seen only during Navratri also shared where she is during rest of the year. "I am mostly tied up with my shows. I prefer remaining in Mumbai for Navratri but otherwise I am travelling most of the times. The only place that I am yet to perform is Japan," the ‘Chudi Jo Khanki' singer said.
