MUMBAI: The progressive Delhi based rock bands Ebonix and Five8 will perform a mashup of some of their popular melodies on 17 May at Hard Rock Café.

Formed in 2008, Ebonix is a five-piece band comprising of Vaibhav Sahay (bass), Dhruv Malik (guitars), Vaibhav Chawla (vocals/guitars), Sargun Sethi (keyboards) and Karan Rampal (drums). Their music is broadly classified as a diverse mix of melodies and hard thumping beats and they are highly influenced by bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden, AC/DC and Black Sabbath amongst others.

While Five8 formed in 2005, comprises of Shiv Ahuja (keyboards), Robin Mathew (vocals), Steve Peter (bass) and Aveleon Vaz (drums). With influences ranging from progressive music to pop, the band’s work resonates through a constantly evolving city life.
