DRM revamps portal

MUMBAI: Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) has revamped its website www.drm.org making it user-friendly and easy-to-navigate, furnishing it with additional information and a host of new features to make it the one stop solution for all DRM related information.

The new website has a dedicated members' area where all those who are part of the DRM Consortium can share information, take part in discussions, access databases and search and upload documents. It also provides useful details of the system with the recently updated Broadcasters' User Guide.

As the DRM system has now been extended to include DRM+ (for frequencies up to 174 MHz) updated information has now been added to the new website. The Executive summary of the DRM system is available in seven languages. Interested users can find FAQs features and updated information on live DRM broadcasts around the world on the homepage. Regular features like DRM newsletters and events information are also prominent on the new website.

Talking about the revamp DRM chairperson Ruxandra Obreja said, "It was long overdue that we provided a more updated and complete website for our members and supporters and for all those seeking information on DRM, and we hope that this new website will fulfill all these needs. It will always be work-in-progress as new material will be added constantly. We hope that as DRM30 and DRM+ attract increased interest and get adopted globally, the website will reflect all these developments and will become the strong communication tool for DRM digital radio it is intended to be."
