MUMBAI: Indian music maestro Dr Ilayaraja is all set for his first North American tour starting from 16 February. The maestro arrived at the Toronto airport with his daughter Bhavatharini and the first batch of musicians on 12 February.

More than 100 artistes will perform at the ‘Engeyum Eppothum Raja’ live concert at three different venues. The concert will feature performances by KS Chitra, SP Balasubrahmanyam, Hariharan, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Karthik Raja, Bhavatharini and  many other legendary singers and celebrities from India.

Speaking with Radioandmusic.com, Hariharan said, “’Engeyum Eppothum Raja’ Show (Maestro Live in Concert) is a three-day huge symphonic event with acoustic sounds. I will be there for two live performances one in Toronto at Rogers stadium and San Jose in United States. I will perform on all Tamil songs. Rogers stadium can accommodate around 25,000 to 30, 000 people so it is really going to be huge.”

‘Engeyum Eppothum Raja’ concert was scheduled on 3 November 2012 at Rogers centre but was postponed due to some unrevealed reason. The concert will happen on 16 February in Toronto and San Jose on 28 February.
