MUMBAI: After cancelling the Swedish House Mafia concert due to political reasons, Percept’s Sunburn has now called off international DJ Avicii’s India tour citing health issues being faced by the renowned artiste. Avicii was scheduled to perform on 6 April in Mumbai and 7 April in Delhi as part of Sunburn Arena.

An official statement from the company mentioned, “It is with deep regret we have to inform you of the cancellation of Sunburn Arena Avicii India tour in Mumbai and Delhi. Unfortunately Avicii has been facing health issues recently and has been forced to take rest until he is once again healthy to perform and travel until further notice. We are in talks with the management to monitor his health condition and wish him a full and speedy recovery.  We will work with the management to reschedule the dates later this year. We appreciate your understanding and our thoughts and well wishes are with Avicii who is extremely disappointed to cancel his visit to India.”

Avicii was scheduled to perform as part of Sunburn Arena with leading DJs- Armin Van Buuren and Tiesto across Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi. After being enthralled by Buuren, Indian fans can now look forward to Tiesto’s concert scheduled in Bangalore (29 March), Mumbai (30 March) and Delhi (31 March).
