Mumbai August 31: Producer-director Sanjay Leela Bansali is taken up by L`iL Champs participant Diwakar. He has invited Diwakar to witness the shoot of his latest film Sawariya. Saying that the only show he watches on television is L`il Champs, Bansali says, "I really like Diwakar in the show I can relate him to my movie character in Black. I have invited Diwakar to visit my sets of Sawariya".
13-year-old Divakar Sharma is a student of D.P.S. R.K. Puram, Delhi. He started singing at the age of 4yrs. Visually impaired, he is a source of inspiration for many children. He has won many awards not only for his singing but also won gold medals for his accuracy and skill in computers.
A short film named `Divakar` was highlighted his achievements and courage was telecast on Doordarshan. He has appeared in many programs in different TV channels. He is been rewarded the " Saraswati sanman` " by the Home Ministry .
Another Bollywood director Vidhu Vinod Chopra remarks that when he asked his wife and children to see his latest film Ek Lavya, they refused saying its time to watch Sa Re Ga Ma, so they will see the movie later. I wasnt aware that Lil Champs is so popular".
An appreciatory letter from former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee was a surprise for the entire team. "The winner of Lil Champs will get Rs.15 lakhs, the first runner up will get Rs.10 lakhs and the second runner up will get Rs.5 lakhs. The winners on attaining the age of 18 years will deposit the prize money in an account that will be accessible. Says director Gajendrra Siingh.
The Zee response team has been getting mails from all round the globe. A leading tour operator writes,"I am a very big fan and supporter of Mr. Diwakar. I liked the fact that though he is not able to see himself, he has a wish to show her mother the seven wonders of the world. Impressed by that, we want to offer him a tour to one of the wonder - The Taj Mahal for 2 nights / 3 days. We will feel the pleasure to host him on tour of Agra with his parents after the finals of this program. Apart from this, we would also like to offer a tour to the top three finalists for Golden Triangle with their parents.
