Disabled artists to enthrall on World Disability Day

MUMBAI:  Around 60 artists on the occasion of World Disability Day will perform a live musical concert on 3 December at Sri Shanmukhananda Auditorium.

The group of artists will perform on folk, bollywood, classical and western music.

For the past seven years, these artists have been performing under the banner of Udaan entertainment group which works alongside Udaan foundation charitable group, with a focus to provide employment to the visually, physically and mentally impaired. Keval L Haria and Deepak G Bedsa are the brain-child of Udaan entertainment group. Haria says, “Entertainment is the best source of education and awareness.” Being visually impaired himself, Haria understands the need to create employment and address the issue of being impaired.

From 2005 till date, these artists have performed around 400 shows across India and other countries.

With no major sponsors on board, they work with help of well-wishers and their audiences.
