MUMBAI: After judging and mentoring several reality shows in the past, the king of bhangra-pop Daler Mehndi will once again don the judge’s chair for the grand finale of ‘Radio City Super Singer’ in Delhi. The grand finale will be held on 15 September at the Ambience Mall, Gurgaon.

Mehndi said, “It is not so much about finding the winner alone, but the fact how much in tune (Sur) or in rhythm is the singing, how much soul, knowledge of music is contributed by the singer to the song, to the expertise of the performer to perform the song with musicians, how much importance does this performer gives to the words he/she is singing, apart from noticing their tonal quality, stage presence etc.”

In Mumbai, the talent hunt show will be judged by talented singers including Javed Ali and Neeraj Shridhar. In its fourth edition, the hunt expanded to 20 cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur, Baroda, Surat, Ahmednagar, Nagpur, Vizag, Coimbatore, Sangli, Solapur and Jalgaon. The short listed contestants in all the cities stand a chance to win the 'Radio City Super Singer' title, cash prize upto Rs one lakh and a TVS Scooty.
