MUMBAI: Mumbai based progressive rock band Coshish has finally announced that the 'surprise' release they have been dropping hints to is a DVD Boxset. In a first for a band in the country, the special edition boxset will contain two new music videos of tracks from their debut album 'Firdous', two special and live videos along with other special releases.

The band had been posting vague updates about meetings with Universal Music India, the label that has signed the band for 'Firdous', which was released in 2013. In an interview with Radioandmusic.com in July, Hamza Kazi, drummer of the band had said without revealing much information, "It is a special edition release that is going to be a huge surprise for all our fans."

The bigger surprise for the fans is an opportunity to be seen in one of the music videos. One of the videos on the DVD will be a montage video of fans singing/miming/performing their song 'Rehne Do'. When some time back, the band had posted on its Facebook page asking people if they would like to be featured in a video, they were serious about taking it further. This montage video will entirely contain only video footage submitted by fans. If the video gets completed in time, it will also be aired on TV.

The band mentioned that this is their way of showing gratitude to all who have stuck with them. They said, "Our fans and friends make us who we are and we want the world to know who they are!"

Interested fans are expected to follow certain points to be eligible to be featured in the video. The details and other updates are posted on the band's Facebook page and Twitter feed.

The band will also be seen performing at the Pune edition of the music festival NH7 Weekender on November 22.
