MUMBAI: The Sai Jyoti Gramodhyog Samaj Sewa Samiti, Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh has signed its Grant of Permission Agreement for establishing, maintaining and operating a Community Radio Station.

A Letter of Intent had been issued to the Institute after recommendations of Inter Ministerial Committee and seeking requisite clearances from various Ministries. The Community Radio Station is expected to be operational within three months as per the agreement. With this, the number of CRS will increase to 62 in the country, says an official release.

The Sai Jyoti Gramodhyog Samaj Sewa Samiti focuses on addressing the social, economic and political deprivation of the community by regularly mobilizing local funds and also organizing health camps and awareness programme in the project location. The organization has also imparted training programs with the support of UNICEF (Jalnigam), DRDA, Lalitpur on hand pump mechanism, SHG’S Training etc. The Organization has been actively involved in social development work and creative awareness on water & sanitation, HIV/AIDS, NSV and Polio Immunization.
