Coldplay to take three-year break

MUMBAI: The 'Paradise' stars hint that they may go on a three- year break from the touring circuit after the conclusion of their current world tour. After the concert at Brisbane on Wednesday, frontman Chris Martin suggested the band has grown tired of touring.

Martin announced: “This is the last big show for three years or so… I don’t want to stop.”

Coldplay has been on tour since October 2011 promoting their latest record, Mylo Xyloto. The announcement came just a few days after the
band hinted at the impending release of their next record. Since 2000, Coldplay has released five studio albums.

Coldplay is scheduled to perform with Chris’ close friend Jay-Z at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on 30 December  and on New Year’s
Eve. The band also has several concerts booked in Latin America in February 2013.

In early 2013, the group is preparing to unveil their six-part comic book series. Coldplay also recently released their new live concert DVD and album – their first in nine years.
