'Clonefest Soundcheck Series 2012' enthralls New Delhi

MUMBAI: ‘Clonefest Soundcheck Series 2012’- a music fest organized by alt-rockers Them Clones is enthralling the music lovers across New Delhi.

The fest in its second edition will feature six concerts across the city and will conclude in August.  It will witness performances by indie-rock bands like Them Clones, Menwhopause, Undying Inc, Indigo Children and upcoming band Plok. The first leg of the concert was held at Guvment discotheque in Gurgaon.

The gigs fronted by Clones will also give an opportunity to the upcoming bands to showcase their talent among a line-up of renowned bands.

Speaking about the concert, Them Clones front man Surojit Dev said, “We wanted to bring different music groups in the city under one platform for fans. The festival is not a competition. We will bring a new line-up of bands and give opportunities to fresh bands that have come up in the last year at every gig. We have always been huge fans of the alternative and grunge revolution and with these shows, the idea is to create a vibe that is similar to the kind of feeling everyone had when grunge was exploding in Seattle.”

Them Clones comprises of Prithwish Dev (vocals), Joseph L (Guitars), Gucci Singh (Guitars), Clarence Gonsalves (Bass guitar) and Surojit Dev (Drums).
