Chaska to air RNW content

MUMBAI: Radio Netherlands Worldwide (RNW) content, which was being aired on Radio Misty in north Bengal and Sikkim, will now also air on Radio Chaska.

Chaska will air the popular monthly chart show Euro Hit 40; one hour of the latest pop music from the European charts, compiled by RNW and presented in English. Jazz and classical music from RNW will be heard as well.

The Gwalior based Radio Chaska 95 FM covers Gwalior and its surroundings, with an estimated population of 2.3 million people. Established in 2007, Radio Chaska has a strong local involvement.

Radio Netherlands Worldwide, the international broadcaster from the Netherlands, provides independent world news, features and music programmes through satellite, short wave, CDs and Internet. RNW's international audience is also reached through numerous media partners in the world.

Says RNW's country manager Amitabh Srivastava says,"This Partnership with Chaska FM gives us exposure in Central India and also gives us a window to showcase some of our best cultural programmes. Our variety of music programmes will give listeners of this station a new perspective on Dutch culture. Besides giving entertaining programmes, we will surely focus on some of our best infotainment programmes in the future for the benefit of Chaska listeners since Chaska FM is regarded as an educational hub in India."
