MUMBAI: Seventy-eight radio entries have been submitted from India for the Cannes Lions 58th International Festival of Creativity.

Overall 1177 entries has been submitted from India in 13 different categories: Cyber, Design, Direct, Film, Film Craft, Media, Outdoor, PR, Press, Promo and Activation, Radio, Titanium and Integrated and the new Creative Effectiveness Lions.

Festival CEO Philip Thomas said, As a global event, Cannes Lions reflects the advertising and communications industry around the world. The record entries show that the industry is bouncing back from the financial crisis. Entry numbers from emerging countries are significantly up, and Asia has a strong presence this year.

A total of 28,828 entries across 90 countries have been submitted, making the number the highest level of entries ever in the history of the Festival. 58th Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity will be held from 19-25 June 2011, Cannes, France.
