Buffalo service now available on iPhone

MUMBAI: Apple iPhone users can now access Buffalo Inc. a global leader in the design, development and manufacturing of wired and wireless networking, storage and memory solutions.

Buffalo Inc  announced its availability of its Web Access feature for iPhone users on 28 August. This setup and responsive interface will integrate the user's digital library, pulling content from a LinkStation Mini for instant playback anytime, anywhere.

LinkStations Mini Web Access can provide Apple users easy access to their digital content stored on the device from anywhere in the world via a web browser. The uniquely equipped LinkStation Mini also puts up to 1TB of network storage in the palm, providing the ultimate space-saving solution for storing and sharing large amounts of digital content such as photos, music, videos and data files across network.

Talking about the new service India at Buffalo Inc Country manager Kazuhiro Tabuchi said, "With the Indian market, gearing up for an i-phone rage, users will enjoy the benefits of Buffalo's LinkStation as a value added service. Users are looking for more digital entertainment in terms or movies, music or TV programming anytime on the move. The storage capacity of i-phones is now not restricted to a mere 16 GB and it enables the user to store large volume of data and access it on an i-phone sitting anywhere".

The fanless, LinkStation Mini provides complete data redundancy through the dual drive RAID 1 configuration. The service will also have DLNA server by TwonkyVision which enable its users to stream through files in and DLNA compatible media player. To best enjoy the multimedia content, the LinkStation Mini is built without an internal fan. This fan-less design ensures absolute quiet operation.

The LinkStation Mini also includes a Remote Power Feature, which can power up the unit remotely with the included Navigator software  The extra USB port allows to add an additional external hard drive for expanded capacity or a printer that can then be shared via the integrated print server. It also supports UPS so the unit can gracefully shut down in the event of a power failure. The product measures only 1.57 x 3.22 x 5.31 inches and weighs a slight 1.1 pounds.
