British pop group 'S Club 7' plans comeback

MUMBAI: 90's British pop group S Club 7' who disbanded in 2003 are keen to get back together and are trying to sign a deal with Simon Fuller who still owns the S Club brand.

The reunion is inspired by the success of fellow band Steps. The band is planning to make a TV show following their reunion, a tour and the release of an updated Greatest Hits album,  a source told The Sun newspaper.

Band member Rachel Steven said that she wouldn't rule out a reunion. It would be good fun doing a rendition of Reach' or something. We're in touch every now and then. I haven't spoken to them in a while, but it's always nice when we bump into each other at events....

'S club 7' was a pop group created by former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller, comprising of Jo O'Meara, Jon Lee, Rachel Stevens, Hannah Spearritt, Tina Barrett, Bradley McIntosh and Paul Cattermole. The band sold over 17 million albums worldwide and won two BRIT Awards—in 2000 for British breakthrough act and in 2002, for best British single. In 2001, the group earned the Record of the Year award. The popular track Reach' was used in the arcade dance game EZ2Dancer in EZ 2 Dancer UK Move.'
