Bonnie Tyler regrets not recording James Bond theme song

MUMBAI: ‘Lost in France’ singer Bonnie Tyler has confessed that she regrets turning down recording a James Bond theme song.

In 1983, Tyler was approached to sing the title song of the James Bond film- ‘Never Say Never Again’. She turned down the offer as she disliked the song. Lani Hall had performed the song.

The 61-year-old told agencies that she wishes she would get a chance to record a James Bond song again.

The Welsh singer will be representing United Kingdom at this year's Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Sweden with her latest single ‘Believe in Me’. In the same year, when she turned down the offer to sing the theme song of James Bond, she declined BBC's request for her to represent the United Kingdom at the 1983 Eurovision Song Contest as well.

At the peak of her success in the 1980s, she gained international success with ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’, for which she was nominated at the Grammy’s for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. The track also sold more than nine million copies.
