Blue Frog seeks to break ground with new business ventures

MUMBAI: Blue Frog, night club is now ready to take over the urban Indian music scenario in Mumbai with its three new businesses enterprises. It comprises Blue Frog Productions, Blue frog Sound Labs and Blue Frog Records. The three new music spheres being launched will be independent of each other, however will leverage from each other.

Blue Frog Production offers intelligent sound consultancy, integrated music production services and a custom-designed audio experience. Beyond the traditional music production areas of television, advertising films and radio jingles, it is getting their hands full into fields like retail soundscaping, computer game audio design and a fully interactive digital audio library. Blue Frog Sound Labs is bushed out next to the Blue Frog Club, in an airy amphitheatric 4000 square foot warehouse space. Blue Frog Records is an independent record label which will focus on less-represented styles of music which includes jazz, blues, funk, world fusion, experimental pop and edgy rock.

The label will twirl all the facets of a new music ecosystem on a unified platform for its artists and performers. The record label will carry forward their simple approach by integrating artist management , live performances at clubs, festivals and events in India and abroad to boost various CD sales and the direct fan base of label-signed artists.

Blue Frog is the brainchild of Ashutosh Phatak and Dhruv Ghanekar, founders of Smoke, a Mumbai-based music production house. Their other partners include Mahesh Mathai, founder of Mumbai-based advertising firm Highlight Films and Srila Chatterjee, executive producer at Highlight Films.
