Big FM records Rs 490 mn income for Q3

MUMBAI: Big FM recorded a total income of Rs 490 million for the quarter ended 31  December 2008.

Adlabs Films Limited, a member of the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group and the leading entertainment conglomerate in the country, announced its results for the quarter ended December 31st 2008, recording revenues of Rs 1630 million for quarter ending December, up by 61 per cent.

The proposal to demerge the company's FM radio business with effect from 1 April 2008; was approved at a meeting of the Equity shareholders of Adlabs Films held on 22 January.

While Adlabs' cinema division grew by 139 per cent to Rs 1010 million, and its film processing and services division recorded a 54 per cent increase to Rs 370 million, the company recorded a net loss of Rs 50 million, primarily on account of expenses related to start-up and stabilization of various businesses, according to a company statement.
