Big FM Goa announces Goemkar Awards on first anniversary

MUMBAI: Big FM Goa has announced 'The Big Goemkar Awards' to acknowledge the achievements of young Goans. Individuals who have made a tangible contribution to the state or have brought recognition to it through their deeds will be awarded.

The station rolled out a detailed on-air and on ground plan to promote the 12 nominations for the award starting 19 May running till the 27 May, seeking votes from its listeners and the populace of Goa.

The on-air plan included promotion of one nomination everyday while the on-ground activity involves a Meet & Greet activity organized on 22 May at the Big FM office, where the nominees got a chance to meet listeners and media.Speaking on the occasion, Big FM Goa station director Manish Tripathi says, "For the past one year we have been entertaining our listeners as well as creating awareness pertaining to various issues and events and will continue to do the same in times to come. Big 92.7 FM believes in involving its listeners in any celebration and 'The BIG Goemkar Awards' is part of our endeavor to add value to the lives of listeners and live our brand-line of Life Banao and encourage the youth to come forward to undertake acts that make them a pride of Goa."

The Station claims to have received tremendous response from its listeners who voted for their favorite personality. The awards launched by Big FM in association with 'The Navhind Times' is supported by Prudential Group Real Estate Developers and Madame Rosa.

A grand presentation ceremony will be held on 28 May and hosted by the events' venue partner, Cidade de Goa, Dona Paula. The ceremony will see prominent Goan artist like Oliver Sean perform and noted dignitaries from across the state will give away the awards to the winners.

The entire event will be broadcast live on Big FM from 7 pm onwards.
