MUMBAI: Staying true to the trend of innovation in content, Big FM Chennai recently announced the re-launch of its show ‘Big Vanakkam’. The show will feature new RJs with a higher level of interaction with listeners.

The station is also launching new shows with fresh content and three new jocks with their own signature shows.

The morning show ‘Big Vanakkam’ will be co-hosted by RJ Giri and RJ Ophelia, where they will provide an array of witty one-liner counter dialogues to RJ Ophelia’s views on any subject. The afternoon show will be hosted by RJ Anandhi, while RJ Ranjith, an engineering graduate will host the Sunday Vanakkam show.

With the positioning of the station revolving around ‘Manasa Thotta’ or heart-felt melodies, the network also launched a talent hunt for singers who are passionate about melodious songs. It was kick-started by singer Harish Raghavendra, who will travel around the city and give an opportunity for budding talents to showcase their singing skills.

RJ Balaji has won awards for RJ of the Year (Tamil) and Best Programme Broadcast after 11am (Tamil) for his hilarious ‘Take it Easy with Balaji’ show which airs every Monday to Saturday from 5-9 pm. The fan following of the show and RJ Balaji got over one crore hits on social media across 197 countries, which includes over one crore Sound Cloud hits, 7.5 lakh profile visits, 66,000 facebook fans and two million YouTube hits.
