Bickram Ghosh to rock Hyderabad on World Music Day

MUMBAI: Marking the occasion of World Music Day, renowned percussionist Bickram Ghosh will perform a concert ‘One World Fusion Extravaganza’ on 21 June in Hyderabad.

The concert will showcase performances by artistes like Andrew Kay (alto sax), Jonathan Kay (soprano sax), Pandit Bickram Ghosh (tabla), Pulak Sarkar (keyboard), Sowmya Raoh (bollywood playback singer), Pandit Ronu Majumdar (flute), Rajhesh Vaidhya (electronic veena) and Arun Kumar (drums).

Speaking with Radioandmusic.com, Gosh said, “The concert is an eclectic mix of musicians from the country who will perform on myriad genres of music. It’s like a melting pot for the genre which is quite interesting and is a perfect way to celebrate the World Music Day.”

Organised by AP Tourism in association with Grandslaam Network, the concert will feature a blend of musical genres including western jazz, rhythm, bollywood, hindustani and carnatic music.
