Beyonce shoots 'Girl' music video in California desert

* Francis Lawrence directs 200 dancers from Africa

MUMBAI: Heads up! Beyonc?© dons a sky-high headpiece and coordinated body jewelery while shooting her new music video for the song â€?Girl' in L.A. The theme of â€?Girl' is like a female empowerment/girl power type of song. The beat is driven by a sample of popular club songs after the style of her singing. Directed by Francis Lawerence, the clip was shot in the California desert and will be the first offering from her next album. She also flew-in 200 dancers from Africa for the shoot.

More on the choreography. No males will be dancing except these two African men that do a solo African intro with footwork at the top of the routine. There will be an army of 100 or more girls. Twenty of them will be doing the choreography with Beyonce, and close to a 100 marching behind her, sticks in hand. Men will be used as props and actors with the girls intimidating them. Again, the concept wasn't revealed so that's just connecting the dots with the choreography and small information that was given. It definitely looks like Beyonce will have an army of girls for one of the scenes that is presumably being shot on the 13th

Expect a full-out dance number, intricately choreographed.

Sony Music will release the album in India, but the release dates are yet unconfirmed.
