Belkin adds auto scan to iPod vehicle accessory

MUMBAI: US based Belkin has added ClearScan technology to the latest iteration of its TuneBase FM device, which automatically scans FM frequencies in search of the optimum one for use. Belkin?‹?“s TuneBase FM device allows users to play tunes from a connected iPod through a car stereo system using FM transmission.

The technology automatically seeks out the clearest FM frequency to play music. Belkin?‹?“s new TuneBase FM will be available in mid-October, states marketnews.

The new TuneBase is more compact than its previous model. In addition to mounting the player in a car, it also powers the iPod via 12V connectivity. Multiple cradles are included to fit any iPod with a 30-pin connector; while a flexible neck makes it easy to position the iPod to one?‹?“s liking, states the report.

Like last year?‹?“s TuneBase, this model includes Pro settings that optimize audio and boost volume; and can transmit audio through the entire FM frequency band. Country Manager, Belkin Canada, Greg Milkovich said, "While we work hard to continually introduce new and innovative products to the marketplace, we also try and improve and advance the technology in products. This new model incorporates ClearScan technology, and provides an exceptional, all-in-one solution on the road."
