Behemoth to perform in India

MUMBAI: After several rock bands, Polish death metal band Behemoth is all set to make their Indian debut on 3 November in Bangalore.

Organized by Spotlight event in association with Clarks Exotica, the performance will be a part of Indian Music Conference 2012. The conference brings together fraternities from various genre, style and background of music. The two day music conference will feature over 40 artistes and will provide an intense and interactive confluence of meetings, networking, sharing and exchange.

As part of the conference, the band will perform on their renowned tracks from the albums like Sventevith (1995), Grom (1996), Pandemonic Incantations (1998), Satanica (1999), Thelema.6 (2000), Zos Kia Cultus (Here and Beyond) (2002), Demigod (2004), The Apostasy (2007) and Evangelion (2009).

Comprising of five members Adam Darski, Zbigniew Robert Promi?ski, Tomasz Wróblewski and Patryk Dominik Sztyber, the band has been labeled as death metal, black metal or thrash-influenced. With the 1999 release of Satanica, the band showed their presence in the blackened death metal scene, while retaining their own signature style characterized by the drum work of Inferno, multi-layered vocals and Middle-Eastern influences.
