B4U Music to don youthful look, launch lifestyle shows

MUMBAI: B4U Music, which claims leadership in the music channel genre for its flagship show Awaaz De kahaan Hai, is donning a fresh and youthful look starting 16 July.

The channel is also launching new shows that include themes of lifestyle, fashion and trends, apart from Bollywood and music. These include Bollywood Bang Bang, Sooper Hits, Orange Funk, Boom Box, Solid Hits and Morning Masala.

We have redefined the music genre on television by bringing the retro music and classical music back. There is scarcity of good music in today's time, and our endeavour is to fill that gap,... claims B4U Network India business head Kalyansundaram.

On the need of new look, he says, Today 60 per cent of our audience is between the age group of 15-24 years. And they love our programming mix. So in order to look more youthful, we decided to change our look. There will be lots of fresh programmes and a new 3D animated logo....

The focus of the channel will predominantly be music, unlike other music-turned-youth channels....

Says Kalyansundaram, Our focus is only on good music. We will have Bollywood music, non-film music and also a bit of international music....

Meanwhile, shows like Orange Funk and Purple will add to the lifestyle, health and fashion quotient.
