Ayushmann enthralls crowd at 'Nautanki Saala' music launch

MUMBAI: The music album of the much awaited film of 2013, ‘Nautanki Saala’ was launched on 26 February at a suburban mall in Mumbai.

Living up to its storyline, the music launch of the romantic comedy witnessed a lot of drama and entertainment by the cast and crew of the film.

Fever FM’s RJ Glenn commenced the evening with two ‘draamebaaz’ Ayushmann Khurrana and Kunal Roy Kapur who entered the stage atop a toy train witnessing massive cheers from the crowd. They were accompanied by small clowns grooving to the peppy track ‘draamebaaz’.

Present at the occasion were singers Rashid Khan and Neeti Mohan, guest composer Rochak Kohli, guest lyricist Gurpreet Saini, actors Pooja Salvi, Evelyn Sharma and Gaelyn Mandonca, director Rohan Sippy, T-Series CMD Bhushan Kumar with wife Divya and T-Series president-marketing and promotions Vinod Bhanushali.

After the success of ‘Paani da’, Khurrana has lent his voice yet again to two songs ‘Mera Mann’ and ‘Sadi Galli’ in the movie.

Khurrana said, “Saddi Galli and Mera Mann are my personal favourites because they are very melodious and infact easy to sing also. So it will have a great connect with the audience. The best part about these songs is that they are very hummable.”

Complying with the request of the audience, Khurrana enthralled the crowd by singing both the tracks, accompanied by Kohli on the guitar and singer Neeti Mohan on the latter track.

It was followed by a dance on the popular song ‘Dhak Dhak’, where the two actors grooved with girls selected from the audience present there. Sippy said, “Bhushan Kumar and me felt that it was a very apt song as there is a romantic confusion in the film. We felt it was a great idea as we have all grown up with the song. Mikey McCleary has reinvented the song completely so it was a great experience. The film has great songs rendered wonderfully by the singers and I am sure they will be very popular.”

Kumar said, “We had earlier recorded some other song for the situation but then eventually we felt that Dhak Dhak suited the situation very well. It’s composed very well by Mikey and it is a superb track.”

After witnessing fun-filled moments, Sippy invited the entire cast to unveil the music album which was brought to them by ‘Hanuman’ flying in from the first floor of the mall. The CD was unveiled by Kumar’s baby boy, as a sign of ‘future proceedings’ joked everyone.

Comprising of 13 tracks, the album has been composed by various composers like Falak Shabir, Mikey McCleary and Rashid Khan amongst others. It features tracks rendered by singers like Neeti Mohan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Geet Sagar, Bruno Carvalo, Saba Azad, Falak Shabir, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Tulsi Kumar and more.

The album also comprises of two tracks ‘Dhak Dhak’ and ‘So Gaya ye Jahan’ which have been reinvented for the film, with rights being given by Bhushan Kumar.

The film is produced by Ramesh Sippy, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Roopa de Choudhury under the banner of Super Cassettes Industries Ltd in association with RS Entertainment. It is slated to release on 12 April.
