Avril Lavigne unveils single 'Here's To Never Growing Up'

MUMBAI: Popular singer and songwriter Avril Lavigne has unveiled her latest single titled ‘Here’s To Never Growing Up’, along with a special fan made lyric video in celebration of the song’s availability at digital retailers.

The lyric video culminates a week-long fan participation event to submit content using a groundbreaking app. The fan-sourced lyric video premiered on VEVO and is available for download at the Apple iTunes store.

The track marks the singer’s debut on Epic Records and her reunion with her original mentor LA Reid. Part of her upcoming fifth studio album, the single was recorded at Henson Studios and is produced by Martin Johnson. It has been co-written by Lavigne with fiancé Chad Kroeger, Dave Hodges, Martin Johnson and indie hip-hop sensation J Kash, and mixed by multiple Grammy-winning hit maker Serban Ghenea.

The new single is stated to personify the party-like atmosphere that existed in the studio during the recording of Lavigne’s fifth studio album.  The album is slated to release in 2013.

Avril Lavigne has made an indelible mark on the music community, selling more than 35 million albums worldwide, bagging eight Grammy nominations and seven Canadian Juno Awards. She burst onto the music scene in 2002 with the critically acclaimed ‘Let Go’ featuring the smash singles ‘Sk8r Boi’ and ‘Complicated’. Her 2004 release, Under My Skin, debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts, as did her third album ‘The Best Damn Thing’.
