Aishwarya Majumdar talks about her tracks in 'Jigaariya'

MUMBAI: Not long ago did this songstress, Aishwarya Majumdar make her debut in Bollywood with her songs 'Main Mushtanda' and 'Kambal Ke Neeche' in 'Kaanchi' early this year. Now she has rendered her vocals for a couple of tracks in the upcoming movie 'Jigariyaa'. The music has been composed by Agnel Roman, Faizan Hussain, Raj-Prakash. 'Jigariyaa' is slated to release on October 10, 2014.

"The track 'Phurr Phurr' in the movie is very, very different from what I have been singing usually. It was my friend Sashi Suman who actually recommended my name for the song and I was clearly told that the composers will retain my voice only if they like it," explained Majumdar.

She was asked by the composers Agnel and Faizan to bring in a Gujarati folk-ish touch. "We have a garba song in Gujarati which describes the situation where an ant is getting married. That garba also talks about the invitations, procession and everything that is happening in the marriage. So, I incorporated that tone and sung the track and luckily they liked my voice." stated the singer.

Majumdar recorded the second song 'Arziyaan' when she was running with high temperature. "The composers had already told me that the song needs to be sung in a very high pitch and I had carried a box of tissues with me. After every line I would blow my nose and I really thank the composers Raj and Prakash as they encouraged me to sing the track. I heaved a sigh of relief when I realised that the recording went well," she said.

The 20 year old is currently busy preparing for her gigs for Navratri. "I have a couple of gigs in my home town Ahmedabad, and I am done with one. I shall also be performing in Mumbai, but I make sure that I do not do too many gigs as I love to play garba," she concluded.
