MUMBAI: Agnee's search for local aspiring singers has almost come to an end as the band has selected 11 contestants for the finale of its on-ground radio reality show titled �Generation A-Star Mirchi Create with Agnee'.

Agnee tied up with Radio Mirchi for this show which held its first audition on 5 June.

We have already shortlisted 11 contestants from seven major cities of Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, New Delhi, Ahmedabad and Pune. We will be training all 11 of them for a week, from 7 to 12 August,... said Mohan Kannan, lead vocalist of the band. The band has gained a cult following in the rock music crazy circles of Mumbai and Pune. The training will be focused on minor details like how to record, important things to be kept in mind during a live performance and we will also be giving them an idea of studio setup,... he added.

The hunt was spread over three phases where in the aspiring candidates had to sing �Kaise ho tum' and �Jee Lay Abhi', the two new tracks launched by Agnee or any other song previously sung by the band.

The finale will be held on 13 August. This is when the two singers will be selected – one male and one female. The band comprises of two members that include Mohan (vocals), Koco (Guitar) and the two lucky winners will join them for a song from the band's upcoming album. They will also get an opportunity to sing in a playback score, composed by Agnee for a forthcoming Bollywood film �Gulaab Gang'.

We intend to provide a vast platform to the winners. Apart from giving them a break in just one song, we wish to involve them in a lot of upcoming projects. We will recognize the talent in all 11 singers and try to give them in-depth training,... said Mohan.

Talking about their upcoming projects Mohan revealed, Our Splitsvilla theme song (instrumental) had released some time back. Now we are re-releasing it with lyrics. It will come out around September-October....
