MUMBAI: Dayanand, the general manager of one of the leading music labels of the south, Aditya Music passed away this morning in Hyderabad after battling a kidney ailment for several months.

Having worked as the general manager for Aditya Music for around 15 years, the label had touched record heights in his period. He played a major role in the success of Aditya Music.

Dayanand made a name for himself in the Telugu film and music industry and was very successful in the music distribution industry for the past few years. Over the past few years, he became instrumental in making Aditya Music a force to reckon with in the film music distribution industry.

He had been under treatment for the past few months, but his condition showed no signs of improvement.

Dayanand is survived by his wife and a daughter. His last rights will be performed on 28 May.
