MUMBAI: A new style. A different voice. But the same adorable smile. The first Indian Idol, Abhijeet Sawant, is back with a brand new album Junoon, two years after his first album Aapka Abhijeet Sawant.

A glamorous evening saw Producer Mukesh Bhatt, Actors Shakti and Sai Anand , Singers Hariharan, Rahul Vaidya, Prajakta Sukre, Amit Sana, Sunil Grover, Soham, of Band Metro, Mohan and Arjit from Band Agnee, Jimmy Felix and Vasundhra from Aasma

Abhijeet Sawant entertained music enthusiasts with a performance on songs from his new album which is zealous, urban and youthful. Junoon spiels a synthesis of Sufi rock and contemporary music.

Junoon showcases soulful music that boasts of 10 tracks. Some of the music has been composed by the debutant Amit Trivedi along with Mithoon (of Tere Bin and Maula fame), Biddu (Tanha) and Jatin Sharma (Mahi Mahi). Moreover, the album also contains remix by DJ Akbar Sami.

It describes the passion that drives all of us sometimes to lift ourselves from the dust. And that is what Junoon is.
