Aadesh Shrivastava recommends I&B Ministry to ban multiple composers

MUMBAI: When everyone is encouraging the new trend of multi-composers in bollywood films, veteran music director Aadesh Shrivastava has moved against the wave and recommended the Information and Broadcasting Ministry (I&B) to disregard this trend and ban multi-composers from National Film Awards.

Speaking with Radioandmusic.com, Shrivastava said, “It becomes really very difficult for the jury to select one music composer on only one track that he has composed for the film, it’s not right.  If you don’t have multiple film directors directing different scenes in a film then why should music composers adopt this new trend? Judging a multi-composer track is not appropriate.”

Moreover, he has also submitted a  written petition to the ministry asking that singers who use technology to make their voice appealing should not be considered for the awards.

“Genuine singers who do not tamper with their voice should be awarded rather than singers who are not very good in their original vocals. The difference between both types of vocals can be easily judged easily,” he added. With newer technology the voice correction has become relatively easier and he expects the ministry to applaud the real genius.
