MUMBAI: The International Film Music Critics Association has nominated A R Rahman in the category of Best Original Score for a Comedy Film ‘Couples Retreat’ which marked his entry into Hollywood in 2009.

The other film and music directors nominated in the same category are James Newton Howard for Duplicity, Marvin Hamlisch for The Informant, Alexandre Desplat for Julie and Julia and Debbie Wiseman for Lesbian Vampire Killers.

NaNa from Couples Retreat has already been nominated for 82nd Academy Awards nominations. The International Film Music Critics will be announcing the winners of its Sixth Annual Awards on February 26, 2010.

Rahman has already bagged two Grammies for Slumdog Millionaire's Jai Ho at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards 2010.
