MUMBAI: Wild card entry Zubin Minoo Sanjana from Apax Partners India Advisors Pvt Ltd ended up winning both, the â€?wild entry'  and the â€?grand finale' of Mahindra XYLO and 94.3 Radio One's  Time Of Your Life... Karaoke Contest, which saw executives of 75 corporates taking part in the event that travelled across Delhi and Bangalore before coming to Mumbai for the grand finale  A total of 25 corporates were represented in the Grand Finale.

The contest was judged by singing stars Raghav Sachar, Shibani Kashyap and  Akriti Kakar, along with Vivek Nayer, SVP Marketing, Automotive Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and Radio One's MD Vineet Singh Hukmani.

The first runner up was Anshoo Kabra from Airtel while the second runner up was Girish Patel from Mahindra and Mahindra.

The Time of Your Life Karaoke Contest, organized by Mahindra Xylo and 94.3 Radio One, started on 12 August, and over 35 days, covering as many as 75 top corporate houses across Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.

For the grand finale, executives and friends of the 24 finalists from several corporates crowded the suburban party lounge, cheering for their colleagues and favourites. The corporates represented in the grand finale were Airtel, Jet Airways, Deloitte,  Aviva Life Insurance, Godrej Sara Lee, Emirates, Titan, Godrej Properties, Nerolac, Viacom 18, India Infoline, ABFSG, HSBC Invest Direct, Star  Union Dai-ichi, Loop Mobile, Reliance Capital, MF Global, Reliance Adlabs, Bisleri, Lodestar, Planet Mabank of America, Infrasoft Technology and Mahindra & Mahindra.

Hukmani told RnM after the event, an added attraction of which was an impromptu karaoke performance by Akriti Kakar and Hukmani himself who, incidentally, is also an accomplished singer and composer with music albums to his credit.

Hukmani's colleague and Station Head Radio One Mumbai, Kiran D'Cruz, said, It is truly amazing to see so many corporates coming forward to be a part of the contest. We hope we were able to give them all a great time. Next year we surely will be able to push the envelope further....

This year the contest saw many firsts being included as a part of the championship. Not only was the contest taken beyond Mumbai to other cities like Delhi and Bangalore, but a new category was introduced – Wild Card Entry. Anyone who wanted to participate had to upload their videos on You Tube and the one who got the maximum votes would be the 26th participant in the grand finale. Wild card entrant  Zubin Minoo Sanjana (from Apax Partners India Advisors Pvt Ltd) the ultimate winner of both categories, got a whopping 53,364 votes for his entry.

Preceding this grand finale, karaoke evenings were hosted in the premises of various corporate offices that are part of the Time of your life Karaoke Contest this year. A series of on the spot contests were held to make the event interactive. The emcee gave out Mahindra Xylo Merchandise to the participants. These were followed by semi-finals; winners selected from each office represented the company at the Grand Finale. A special practice session for the finalists was arranged at the 94.3 Radio One office 3 days prior to the finals.
