MUMBAI: The Moonman, the famed statue of Video Music Awards gets a Brooklyn makeover. Witness the most anticipated music awards event LIVE from Brooklyn's Barclays Center, New York on Vh1 on Monday, 26 August. This year’s Video Music Awards will also mark the 30th anniversary of the show and will become the first major annual awards show to take place in the borough of Brooklyn.

Following the legacy set by VMAs in the past thirty years, the awards night will bring with it a cluster of memorable performances from the music legends themselves. Watch Lady GaGa set the stage on fire with her upcoming song - Applause for the very first time along with performances by A-listers Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, Kanye West, Bruno Mars, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

Apart from his exceptional performance, Timberlake will also be seen receiving one of the most prestigious awards - The Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, joining an esteemed list of past recipients that include the King of Pop - Late Michael Jackson, Madonna, R.E.M. and the Beastie Boys.

Leading the nomination pack are music icons Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis with six nominations each. Leading with second is Bruno Mars with four VMA nominations, while Pink, Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus and Thirty Seconds to Mars have each picked up three nominations. Taylor Swift, Drake, Calvin Harris and FUN are also in the running for multiple VMA Moonman Awards.

Understanding the huge fan-following that VMAs enjoy in India, Vh1 has planned a 360 degrees marketing campaign for music enthusiasts.
