Vh1 initiates on-ground activities for college fest

MUMBAI: Vh1 is tying up with leading college festivals in the country.  This is another initiative to reach out to their core target audience off-air (on ground). Also for a few big fests (Kscope, BITS, IIT) Vh1 will be getting artists to perform at their pro-nights.

They have associated with the college fest like Sophias - Kscope (4th-9th Sept), IIT Delhi – Rendezvous (23rd Oct) and BITS Pilani - Oasis (2nd - 6th Nov). The channel will also associate with other colleges in Mumbai, Delhi and B’lore for fests like IIMs and IITs.

In addition to this Vh1 has also tied up with big marketing chains like Golds Gymand F bar to local hangouts like a Candies in Bandra and Koshys in Bangalore. They will reach out to over two million people a week through 400 on-ground partnerships. They have created properties like Fab Gyms, Fab Salons, Fab Clubs to engage their TG through lifestyle touch points they frequent. Their focus for the year is direct activation through colleges where they will be part of the main day headlining music act like Indus Creed with kaleidoscope

Also for connecting more with the audience in a fun way, Vh1 has introduced a Beavis and Butt-Head phone app where fans can “chat” with the duo – go to the app and click on “Chat with B&B”
