The Mud Rush fest to host line-up of international DJs

MUMBAI: The Mud Rush (TMR) is an all-terrain marathon style run that stretches across a 7 km circuit with challenging obstacles designed by the Indian Special Forces from Z-Bac. This international property, brought to India for the first time encompasses 30-foot stacks of hay, water bodies, barrier walls, 100 feet stretches of tires, 45 degree hills, fire, ice, and, of course, a whole lot of mud. Asia’s first Rush will begin on 9 February 2013 in Kolad, Maharashtra.

The Mud Rush recreational area will feature an assortment of cover bands playing great music along with a wide array of food and beverages. The event circuit is located in Kolad, a prime destination for adventure sports located not more than 2 hours from Mumbai and Pune. Camping the night before or after the event at the venue will be encouraged, making the event a 360 degree adventure trip far from the city’s hustle. As the day proceeds, The Mud Rush team has organised a post event Sun-Downer party at the venue itself with International and domestic DJs and bands that will showcase their talent, give you another reason to celebrate your achievement and party in the heart of nature.

The line-up of international DJs includes Dinka, Weekend Heroes, Martin Roth, Urban Breathe, Q.U.A.K.E, Flippers and more. The fest will also feature domestic DJs like Clement, Dual Drive, Ashtrix and Sequ3l amongst others.

The fun doesn’t stop here, making sure this event doesn’t end at the course’s finish line. After the rush is over the day is just getting started. Once completed the run participants or official Mud Rushers will get ready to wine, dine and celebrate their accomplishments of the day. The goal of The Mud Rush is not just to test your endurance and physical stamina, but also to push your mental grit. This race is not intended for only the super athletic but for the entire family. It requires you to just unleash all your energy and head for the finish line.  You can participate individually  or as a  team  dressed in unique uniform and compete in unique  outfit competitions, either for fun or to support something you care about. Participants could choose to bypass challenges or exit the race at any point of time.

At the end of it, The Mud Rush has been designed for fun and not mere competition only. The Mud Rush is also giving a share of all the proceeds to further benefit an Army Related NGO. What a better way to work out, test yourself, party and help a social cause.
