MUMBAI: Radio is creating a buzz in Surat with Radio Jockeying being a rage with Surat's Radio Cityzens. Providing a platform to those eyeing to make it successful as an RJ, Surat's Radio City 91.1FM presents 'City ki Awaaz' - a 10 day long RJ hunt starting May 12-22, 2008. The hunt for Surat's best upcoming RJ talent started with the Audition Round with over 250 auditions on record so far! Fulfilling their dreams of making a career as an RJ, the winner of 'City ki Awaaz' will eventually get to host a show on Surat's Radio City 91.1 FM.In response to the call for Auditions, the station witnessed aspirants flooding the Radio City studios in huge numbers to register and have a flavour of this 'Whatte Fun' experience. Further to the Auditions, Surat's Radio City will identify the top five contenders who will be exclusively promoted by Radio City RJ's on-air.

The Listeners Choice Round, starting from May 19-22, empowers listeners to vote in for their favourite contender and choose Surat's 'City ki Awaaz'. The winner of 'City ki Awaaz' will be crowned on-air on May 23, 2008 and stands to host a show on Surat's Radio City 91.1 FM in addition to winning exclusive goodies courtesy Surat's 'Whatte Fun' FM station.
