Storm Festival 2013

MUMBAI: India’s most authentic camp-out music festival- Storm is all set to take place at Coorg, Karnataka, on the 1st and 2nd of February 2013.

Storm that redefined the very concept of a 'destination music festival' with its brilliant debut in 2012, is one of a kind gala affair that attracts revellers from India and abroad. Storm 2013 will feature 45 plus artistes across 4 brilliant stages showcasing some of the biggest and brightest Bands, Singer-Songwriters as well as Electronica artistes from the country and across the world.

The Storm Festival promises a weekend packed with great music, pristine locales and a unique vibe. Adventure, camping, ecological awareness, late night campsite jams, handpicked music from across the world and breathtaking decor are some of the salient features of the festival.

Storm will also feature adventure sports and a host of activities to get the adrenaline rushing. This edition’s musical line up is exhaustive: the audiences will witness a lot more music, a lot more variety and quite a few surprises.

Bringing much more than music in its purview, the Storm Festival is a one of a kind experience with strong underlying messages, from a strict ‘No Drugs’ policy to meticulous concern towards preserving the environment, sensitivity towards recycling and respect for nature. In an ode to the rich culture of Coorg, the festival will also serve authentic Coorg or Kodava cuisine and like last year will feature the much sought after aromas of the region – including all the special spices and coffee varieties from the land of misty landscape of Coorg.

Storm is a realisation of the many passions of its festival directors, Lavin Uthappa and Sachin Bopanna, particularly for nature and music.

Lavin Uthappa, festival director, Storm (and Managing Director Liquidspace Entertainment Pvt. Ltd) throws light on the genesis of the festival,"Storm 2012 not only had a brilliant debut, but is said to have also raised the benchmark for such formats many ways. The second edition of Storm is already receiving an overwhelming response from across the world, through the medium of media, artistes and audiences. Our motive is to up the ante from last year and meet the expectations of all the friends of the Storm Festival. While tight programming, some great first ever collaborations and international headliners has been the focus of Storm 2013, we have also created a much more exciting festival space physically... The festival area this year is relatively more compact and all stages and activities at the festival are easily accessible."
