Red Hot Chili Peppers New Album "I'm With You" out Today on Warner Bros. Records

MUMBAI: "I'm With You," the new album from multi-platinum rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers is released today, August 29th, on Warner Bros. Records.

The band, which is singer Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith, and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, are bringing the album to the global stage with a song-by-song live concert performance, via satellite, to select movie theaters around the world. They will perform the entire album in sequence, followed by some of their greatest hits, in a special high-definition cinematic in-theater event on August 30th. Red Hot Chili Peppers LIVE: I'm With You is the first -- and only -- time the new album will be performed in its entirety by the band. Tickets are currently on sale at participating theater box offices and at www.RHCPLiveHD.com where fans can also view the event cinema trailer.

Recorded at East West In Los Angeles and Shangri-la in Malibu, CA, "I'm With You" is Red Hot Chili Peppers' first new album since the two-set "Stadium Arcadium," which debuted at No. 1 in 28 countries around the world, including the U.S. -- their first Number One album on the Los Angeles quartet's home turf. The album spawned three No. 1 Modern Rock hits: "Dani California" (which spent 14 weeks at No. 1 and is one of three songs in the history of Billboard's Alternative Chart to debut at No. 1), "Tell Me Baby," and "Snow (Hey Oh)."

"I'm With You" has the distinction of being the first rock album specially mastered to optimize digital sound quality for iTunes Store customers. The album was produced by Rick Rubin -- who produced the band's previous five albums, "Stadium Arcadium" (2006), "By The Way" (2002), "Californication" (1999), "One Hot Minute" (1995), and "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" (1991) -- and mastered for iTunes using high-resolution sourced audio to provide fans with an incredibly rich listening experience.

Earlier this month, "I'm With You's" first single -- "The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie" -- claimed the top spot on Billboard's Alternative chart, enabling the Los Angeles quartet to surpass their own record for the artist with the most Number One singles in Modern Rock radio chart history with 12. The track is also No. 1 on both the BDS and Mediabase charts for the third consecutive week.

One of the most successful acts in rock history, Red Hot Chili Peppers have sold more than 60 million albums, including five multi-platinum LPs, and won six Grammy Awards, including "Best Rock Album" for "Stadium Arcadium," "Best Rock Performance By a Duo or Group" for "Dani California," "Best Rock Song" for "Scar Tissue," and "Best Hard Rock Performance With Vocal" for "Give It Away."

The band head to South America in September for several shows, including a headlining stint at the Rock in Rio Festival in Brazil on the 24th. In October, the band set off on a European tour. Please visit www.redhotchilipeppers.com for all tour dates.
